I am inspired daily by what happens in Terrapy Reader — in my sessions with clients and beyond. Yesterday, working with a young woman in my practice, she drew a card from my favorite card deck by Adriana Ayales about the NETTLE. Nettle is a hardy plant known for its stinging hairs that can cause discomfort when touched, but she also has many HEALING properties. This duality symbolizes the idea that strength and resilience often come through challenges and discomfort. Healing yourself, takes COURAGE. She, the Nettle, symbolizes the journey of growth and healing through grounding oneself, setting healthy boundaries. She serves as a powerful reminder that transformation is a process that often involves discomfort too. Do things that are painful and you don’t like to do, BY CHOICE! You choosing to do something challenging, is what’s powerful. Being forced, takes ALL that power away. Setting boundaries takes COURAGE 🦅 Healing takes courage. In transformational work, Nettle teaches that enduring and learning from painful or difficult experiences can lead to personal growth and empowerment. This seem to be the theme this week. It started with another client who showed me a 1 minute video about ‘How Lobsters 🦞 Grow’ — this video teaches that Lobster must leave the safe but too small harness at some point, be vulnerable and find a safe place to grow and new, larger harnas. Both the Nettle 🌿 and the Lobster 🦞 inspired me in different ways, that growth and healing is about making your OWN choices, that aren’t always pain or worry free. I love how I can share the inspirations that in many ways found me, through YOU. I love this circular energy in my work, my conversations and rituals in Terrapy. Keys:

Guided by mother nature, I support others — especially (wounded) healers — unravelling complexity and developing pathways towards wholeness and connection. My strength is connecting applied yoga philosophy and psychological tools to work with the body and mind for optimal (mental) health. In addition to seeing people in one-on-one and group therapy sessions, me and my team educate all who care — including doctors and other healthcare professionals to create an ecosystem of sustainable solutions for health and wellness, using yoga. Navigating psychiatry for 25 years as RN and being a pioneer in The Netherlands and Europe as a yoga therapist (C-IAYT), I now amplify transformation in this field by connecting with others who are willing to open-up to explore and experience a wider spectrum of possibilities in the field of healing and health. https://www.instagram.com/annekesips/ https://annekesips.com/
email update | Nov 11, 2025 | #33 Hey there, It took me a moment to let go of summer, but now I'm embracing the change. I find myself organizing, completing projects, and bringing clarity to different areas of my life — and loving every bit of it. As I sit on my veranda, the wind plays with my hair while birds chirp in the tree above and the gentle September sun warms my face. How are you navigating this seasonal transition, Reader? I'm making two exciting changes: Podcast and the Care Circle...
email update | Nov 11, 2025 | #33 Dear Reader Throughout my years working in Amsterdam’s acute psychiatry and crisis wards, I encountered countless individuals facing their darkest moments. I also experienced personal crises that shook me to my core. From these experiences, one conclusion became painfully clear: Crisis is here to teach us something. Yet, despite this truth, many of us find ourselves wanting to run from it, fight it, or avoid it. As we learn through the lens of Polyvagal...
email update | Nov 11, 2025 | #33 Hi there, Yesterday, I wrote to you about the emotional whirlwind I’ve been in — saying goodbye to a friend who’s moving away, seeing my daughter head off on her first school trip, and navigating an intense day of crisis interventions in Amsterdam. And of course, there was that unexpected layer added by speed dating, where I was face-to-face with some of my inner parts in ways I didn’t expect. Today, Reader — I want to talk about something that has been...
